A friend who’s into the Boston Red Sox (and I mean DEEPLY into them), clued me into a great place to watch sports in Seattle, or just hang out – Buckley’s on Queen Anne.

It’s not just a good Seattle sports bar, but it’s also a great neighborhood hangout with the motto, “Where neighbors become friends.” They also have great beer on tap:

So if you’re looking for a place to watch the baseball playoffs leading up to the World Series, or if you just want a friendly place to go have great pub grub and a drink, visit Buckley’s on lower Queen Anne at 232 1st Avenue West.

So what exactly is the definition of a dive bar? Because I love Ozzie’s and ‘dive bar’ really doesn’t sound like a good thing. But check it out, here’s the definition that I found…
In the US, so-called dive bars have become a fad among urban hipsters. Since working class people and urban hipsters rarely care to mingle, urban hipsters go to bars that specially recreate the physical characteristics of dive bars (run-down hardware, outdated furnishings, general uncleanliness) but without the working class clientele. The term “faux dive” is generally used to describe such establishments.
Now that sounds better! Ozzie’s did win the Northwest contest for “best bartender, best dive bar and best Karaoke in Seattle”. Look… here we are at our favorite place to go for the absolutely best karaoke selection seven days a week starting at 9:00pm.

Here’s a picture of a couple microsoft employees that were really excited to be on our blog…no really they were.

There’s no better place around to come unwind after work. Ozzie’s is open 7 days a week from 8:00am till 2:00am, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and tequila…

So go have a good time at Ozzie’s and tell us about it!
